Hawkinge Crematorium

Hawkinge Crematorium has served the local communities of Folkestone in Kent since the 1950s. Hawkinge Crematorium is situated on the site of an airfield that was used during the Battle of Britain. The crematorium’s multi-faith chapel can seat larger numbers of people. Pieces of music can be performed live on the chapel’s organ, or played on its music system. There is disabled access, disabled toilets and a hearing loop.

The gardens of remembrance at Hawkinge Crematorium are called Hurricane and Spitfire after the aeroplanes that were based at the airfield. A range of different types of memorial can be installed in the gardens.

The crematorium office and memorial office are open 9am-5pm Monday to Friday. The book of remembrance room is open 9am-5pm seven days a week. The gardens of remembrance are open 24 hours a day all year round. Parking is available 24 hours a day all year round.
